Gamers

There is one store I HATE going into.  I cringe as I walk in and I have to make a conscious effort not to let the look of-disgust/annoyance/shock- cross my face.  What is this dreaded place?  The Gaming store.  The video game store, whatever it is called.  The people and conversations that are over heard there make me want to run.  Run far away.

We purchased a Wii game for Kendall’s birthday and it didn’t work.  Which is really annoying because for 55 bucks it should work like a charm.  That was December.  After carrying the game and receipt in my purse for two months, I finally forced myself to take it back.

Thankfully there were no customers in the store.  I took the game to the girl at the desk and just wanted a replacement.  No biggie. In and out in 5 minutes.   One half hour later I had my money refunded.  While I was patiently waiting and listening to the girl tell me about how she had just passed level 17 in some video game (eye roll) I noticed this on the counter-

I know playing video games is very strenuous.  No need to fear. They have “performance snacks”  AKA-Cheetos.

Acid Washed Jeans……

Remember that time I bashed them? Well yesterday I bought a pair!  SAY WHAT!!?? As I stood in the dressing room staring at myself wearing the pants in question, I took a little trip down memory lane…..to JUNIOR HIGH.  And then I literally laughed out loud at myself buying a pair again 20+ years later.  But I promise, they are cute.

I scored an awesome load at JC Penney.  These pants were marked down to $9.99 and I bought a bunch of shirts for $4.97.  Maybe Kelsey and I will model them for fun and post the pics.  I have crazy mad bargain shopping skills.

I am alive

I know it's been awhile and you all ( my seven readers ) are on the edge of your seats waiting for my next post. Ah, who am I kidding! You are all just as busy as me. My life has been such a whirlwind lately and then my computer battery died.... Hence the post via I-phone. I hope to be back online soon. Until then I will leave you with a few random pictures off my phone. Remember I said random.

There is nothing I want more than...... a Snuggie

I don't understand why everyone thinks they are lame. I mean what's not to love about A BLANKET WITH SLEEVES!  It's genious!  As I type I am sitting wrapped up in a blanket WITHOUT SLEEVES.  My arms are cold.  I should have bought that Snuggie I saw at Smith's during Christmas for $11.99. Dang it!

Way To Go Idaho!

I live in Idaho.
We grow potatoes.
Well, I don't grow them....the farmers do.
Big fat ones.
And then they ship them to all the other states and we buy them from Washington.
Why?
Don't ask me.
Anyway.....
My kids HATE potatoes.
Baked.
Mashed.
Fried.
Hashed.
You name it.
They WON'T eat it.
It's weird.
It's hard to come up with side dishes.
It's un-Idahoan.

"NO SLEEP TILL BROOKLAND!"

These were the lyrics my husband was singing at the top of his lungs.
"It's not BrookLAND, it's Brooklyn....you know the city?", I replied.  He insisted that in this particular Beasty Boys song, it was Brookland. I rolled my eyes. He hopped on YouTube to prove me wrong.
Well one 80's butt rock song led to another and another until my kids were gathered around my husband, watching old music videos and listening to their dad sing at full volume.
Me: Do we REALLY need to educate our children on Big Hair Bands? I mean, REALLY?
My comment was ignored as everyone sang along to 'Livin on a Prayer', a song my kids know from Guitar Hero. They were excited when it started.  The excitement soon turned to confusion when they saw the rock stars in the Bon Jovi video.

Kylie: Why are they wearing wigs?
Kenny: They're not. That's their hair.
Kylie: EW....are they dead now?

Seriously some of these guys look like women.
Especially when they pout their lips for their photo.
