Skills
Kaiden and Tyke are cousins and best friends. They love to spend time together. Today Kenny was at his dad’s house painting a trailer. Grandpa Simpson was babysitting Tyke, so the boys got to play together while the guys worked. After the trailer was painted, Kaiden and Tyke came in to talk to Kenny and Grandpa Simpson.
Kaiden: Dad, me and Tyke want to work so we can make lots of money.
Kenny: Okay, what do you want to do?
Kaiden: We can paint and then you can pay us lots of money.
Kenny: We are done painting the trailer.
Kaiden: What can we do to work to make lots of money?
Kenny: I don’t know, what skills do you have?
Kaiden (with a serious face): Well, I have Ninja skills.
Tyke: Ya! I have Ninja skills too!
Grandpa Simpson about fell off his chair laughing. So if you have a need for a Ninja and you have lots of money, just give Kaiden and Tyke a call.

ICE ICE BABY
I have a new found respect for Scout leaders.
Tonight I drove Kendall up to the top of our street and then turned on a steep, slick, snowy, icy side road and led us out into nothingness. I stepped out of my car into 2 feet of snow and a howling wind mixed with snow. I trudged up to the side of the mountain where my son has dug himself a snow cave. Actually they started digging the caves on Wednesday. Tonight they will finish them and then SLEEP IN THEM. Did I mention they are at the top of a mountain with the cave openings facing the wind? And we are forecasted to get 1 foot of snow up here tonight. I just have to give a big shout out to the men who are going to freeze their keisters off tonight. I am sure the boys will love it.

The scout returns
I took some really great pictures of Kendall BEFORE he went to scout camp. He had his hiking pack on with sleeping bag and camp roll. The whole think was bigger than him……and then I deleted them. ARGGGG. Anyway this was his first year of scout camp. It cost a small fortune to get him outfitted complete with new sandals and new hiking boots. He came back dirty, stinky and sunburned but he had tons of fun.
Oh and remember that small fortune? It went up in flames.
Note to scout: Don’t leave your BRAND SPANKING NEW hiking boots unattended next to the fire to dry.

This is really not a hard question….?
Me: Do you like my hair better curly or straight?
Kenny: Both.
Me: If you HAD to pick one way for the rest of my life would you pick curly or straight?
Kenny: Straight. And then I’d buy you a curling iron so you could do it both ways.

Price of Beauty
I couldnt resist getting a picture this time. The second shot is right as she pulled the stick out. And men say that women put themselves through torture for beauty?
