My sister…..she’s a Rock Star

There is an AMAZING band here in town called Kyd J. (keep your day job)  They play for many of the community events in Pocatello and I love to listen to them.  I know half the band personally and they are all good, good people.  They had one of their singers move and asked Kristi to join the group.  She had her first big gig last week at Revive @ 5 in Old Town Pocatello.  I took the younger kids out, met up with the family and had a great time.

KRISTI. WAS. AWESOME!

Here she is singing her solo.  She had two Taylor Swift songs, which she had never even heard until she started practicing with the band…..how has she never heard Taylor Swift you ask?  I have no idea seeing how they play her songs like a million times a day.  Anyhow, she sounded sooooo good.  And she looked like a super hot rock star too. ♥

I love outdoor community events like this.  People outside with their families enjoying the sun.  Speaking of community events…….Extreme Makeover Home Edition is filming here in Pocatello Idaho this week!  I haven’t gone down there yet but I think I might have my man take me for a night motorcycle ride into town to see all the construction.

Then came the face painting and balloon animals.  Doesn’t it make you want to attend a summer festival?  We ate hotdogs and popsicles.  We sat on the grass.  We visited the fire truck and wandered through the vendor booths. It was a perfect summer evening aside from the random gusts of wind that almost blew my skirt up over my head.

The hotness...ha ha

The Simpson sisters threw a baby shower for my sister in law, Lori. It was fun to see everyone. Lisa drove home from Boise and it is always fun to see her. I am so lucky to have married into such a good family. I love all my sisters in law!
Kristi, me, Lori, Lisa, Staci

This pic pretty much sums up how fun these girlies are. I am always laughing when I see them. Love them!

This is me surrounded by THE HOTNESS. Aren't my sisters in law gorgeous? I was actually showing Kristi how to edit photos on Picnik.com and I added the text as a joke....but now I cant take it off and don't want to re-edit the photo. They really are the Hotness though. :)

I am not sure what I am doing here....something painful by the looks of it?
It was a good day. I got my house clean and enjoyed the company of family. Lisa made really yummy chicken noodle soup and rolls. The perfect meal on a cool fall afternoon.

Labor Day with the Moore's

We have been friends with Ray and Christie for 8 or 9 years now I think. They live in Donnelly Idaho so we don't see them very often anymore. In fact I think it has been 3 year since we saw them last. They are a fun couple and have been very good friends to us over the years. I will never forget how they supported both Kenny and I when we were going through some really difficult times. They proved to be true friends when the going got really rough.
I was really excited when they decided to come to visit us over Labor Day. We took the kids to the fair, played Pinochle, took the kids up Scout Mountain, played Pinochle, hung out and played more Pinochle. Here is our weekend in pictures.

This next run of pictures makes me laugh. I was trying to get a good shot of them together....

Not sure what is happening here but she appears to be pulling his hair AND she is about to deliver a mean punch! Don't mess with Christie! ha ha

There we go!

Me doing what I do.....whatever that is. :)

I am very seriously contemplating the world's problems.

I love these two pictures

Where In Idaho is Tenae?

Holly M., Terri C. and I

September has been a crazy month for me. I had a lot of events going on and I did a lot of traveling. It started when I headed off to Grand Targhee Resort for Leadership Pocatello. Myself and five other people were in the class last year and we are the facilitators for the class this year. We had a ton of fun watching this new class go through the leadership exercises we had planned for them. The weather was beautiful. Technically Targhee is in Wyoming but not by far.
Adam H, Terri, me and Kirk A.
The Grand Tetons
Having lunch and listening to the Reggae music that was playing. I loved it.

The next week I headed to Boise. The hotel I work for owns another hotel in Boise and they were having a 2 day sales blitz. They asked for some extra help so Racheal and I went and spent 3 days there. It was tons of fun to get out and meet lots of people. I love sales.

Eating at Panda Express. Yummy!

Jenalee (my Regional Sales Manager and mentor) invited us over to play a game. It is called Ticket to Ride and is really fun. I think I lost.

Racheal and I in our hotel room. If anyone is ever in Boise and needs a hotel room, let me know and I will get you set up at the Candle Wood Suites. It is such a nice place to stay. I loved it.

Racheal, Jenalee and I

Jenalee, Me, Carissa, Racheal and Chris meeting up for lunch during the blitz.

I drove home from Boise, went straight to Kenny's work and changed my clothes in the bathroom there and headed out to the AV Center. My Rotary Club was having their Casino Night Fundraiser.
Kyd J playing live. They are so awesome. This is Shelby singing on the left. Kylie thinks she is a Rock Star.

Everyone hanging out in the Hangar.

Suzie and I in front of a plane.

Jeff, Kim and I playing Black Jack. Kim was lucky that night and kept getting 21!
Lisa and I were the "Go to Gals". We were supposed to know all the answers to peoples questions but most of the time I answered, "I don't know". Oh well. Lisa is the President of our Club this year.

I took my girls to watch the Idaho Junior Miss Pageant this week. It was interesting. I had never been to anything like that before. There were some very talented girls and the program was very tastefully done. There were a couple cheesy moments but hey, it's a pageant.
World Peace is a good thing. ;o) It is a great scholarship program and a good self esteem builder for the girls involved. I didn't got back to the other nights because Kylie had a hard time sitting that still.
Kelsey and I
I can't believe September is almost over! This year is flying by. October should be a relatively calm month (knock on wood).
