Fourth of July is my next favorite Holiday after Thanksgiving. I love the warm weather, yummy summer BBQ food, family, balmy summer evenings, laying out on a blanket to watch fireworks and the patriotic feelings that surge through me as I listen to songs about America. I was excited to have my family over for a BBQ and fireworks. As they were arriving some very strange and dark storm clouds were forming over the city. We hurried to bring all our food and my cute decorations inside and then the storm hit (see next post).
We visited and played games inside while the storm carried on for over an hour. I felt really bad for all the families that were waiting for the firework show at the Fairgrounds. We tried our best to BBQ our food in the wind, rain and hail and finally brought the grill into the garage. Kenny had to leave before the food was done to check on his parents and sister Kristi's houses in Chubbuck, where there was flash flooding. We all finally ate and it WAS good! The storm blew over and it was a beautiful(chilly)night for fireworks.
That is one thing about living in Idaho. We get all 4 seasons. Sometimes in the same day! It was scorching hot in the morning at the parade and freezing with hail in the evening.
