Spring is definitely the best time to visit the zoo. All the animals were out and alert. It was a little cool outside but overall a really nice day. I was a little freaked out when we got to the mountain lions. Mountain Lions have always made me nervous. They are beautiful animals to be sure, but the quiet stalking and the fact that they live in my area just really makes me uneasy. When we got to their cage they were wide awake and pacing right next to the fence. The female was watching the small children with great intensity. She crouched down and looked like she was going to pounce through the fence and eat one.
This coyote was very curious about us.
If you ever need a good workout, bring a stroller to the Pocatello zoo. You will get an excellent thigh and butt workout. Just hope the stroller doesnt run away with you on the downhill.
